Friends of the Eastham Arboretum

The Friends held a very successful annual meeting on September 29. Included were three guided tours along the trails where members and guests viewed the tree and shrub plantings. Following the tours, refreshments were available under a beautiful autumn sky.
On October 20, 15 swamp maples (acer rubrum) were planted along the
lower trail, parallel to Bridge Road.

Great Pond Wiley
Park Update
The Town of Eastham has hired Aquatic Control Technology, Inc. to
hydro-rake the beach waters in Wiley Park to rid the swim area of
invasive weeds. This work was completed on November 16 with very little
damage to the beach. The result is a very inviting recreational area. It
is hoped that finer sand will be added to the beach's sitting areas.
